What is Sport Psychology?
Sport psychology deals with increasing performance by managing emotions and minimizing the psychological effects of injury and poor performance. Some of the most important skills taught are goal setting, controlling anxiety, relaxation, visualization, self-talk, awareness and control, concentration and confidence.
A sport psychologist can be beneficial for beginners to advanced performers and can assist with all areas of life, not just sports - ie. Reducing work stress, setting life goals, time management skills and public speaking.
